HELPING VETERANS ACCLIMATE INTO CIVILIAN LIFE IS MY PASSION

500 VA Loans Down – 500 More to Go

I am proud to have served my country. My service is a defining characteristic of who I am. After my time in the military, I, like many other Veterans, struggled to acclimate to civilian life. Two key factors changed everything: starting my career in the mortgage industry and becoming a homeowner. Work helped me to focus, and it allowed me to create day-to-day routines. Homeownership provided a valuable connection to my community, which created the sense of belonging that I was missing from my service.

Community involvement is integral when transitioning into civilian life. Without it, a returning Veteran can feel disconnected from society, which is why I am such an advocate for the VA Home Loan. It’s a great resource that makes it easier to get Veterans in homes and on the path to becoming contributing members of their communities.

The only downside of the VA Home Loan is that the process can be convoluted. Throughout my career, I began to see a need to bring awareness to the VA Home Loan program because others in my industry didn’t seem to understand the guidelines and how they allow Veterans to buy homes, especially if they had problems in the past. Word quickly spread about my proficiency and understanding of the VA Home Loan, and I started to get an abundance of calls asking if I could help people through the process, which I gladly did. Consider me an ambassador for the VA Home Loan. I created The Mortgage Soldier to be the go-to resource for anyone who needs help navigating the battle to get to the closing table.

It brings me great joy to help a fellow Veteran; I consider it a moral obligation and a privilege. I am incredibly proud of the fact that I have closed over 500 VA loans throughout my career, and I hope to close 500 more! If you’re a Veteran or know a Veteran that can use my help, please point them in my direction.
